Since 2008, United Builders has constructed in excess of $20 million in healthcare and medical related type of work. This work includes the most complex medical build out of a brand new surgery center at the Tucson VA from working in mental health facilities which requires a “Hospital First, Jobsite Second” mentality.
We are extremely familiar with the Federal Government work relative to quality control programs, hospital infection control (ICRA), 30-Hour Certified safety programs and Phased projects.
Industrial / Warehousing
United Builders has constructed an excess of $25 million in industrial warehousing and produce warehouse facilities. We are familiar with refrigerated warehousing, and distribution centers. Our experience includes design build and structures in pre-manufacturer metal buildings, masonry and tilt up concrete. We have constructed facilities for distribution warehouses, newspaper storage, paper storage warehouses, open ended warehousing and produce warehouses.
Fuel / Convenience
United Builders has experience building fuel and convenient stations for companies such as: Valero, Circle K, Diamond Shamrock, Chevron, AM/PM, and Shell. This work includes the convenience and complete fuel and gas tank installations. Typical time frame for construction of these projects is 90 days.
Federal / Local Government Work
United Builders has constructed in excess of $200 million in the Federal Government arena, as well as working in the local jurisdictional agencies for Pima County, City of Tucson, Town of Oro Valley and Marana, Arizona.
Federal work includes constructing a design build $13 million new Mental Health Outpatient facility direct with the United States Government, as well as approximately $20 million in projects directly for the Veterans Administration in MATOC programs. This work has predominately been all in the healthcare industry.
United Builders is completely experienced and qualified in writing safety programs, quality control programs and infection control programs.
Some of the more notable office projects completed by United Builders and its team include the AOL Tucson campus, University of Phoenix, Mesquite Corporate Center in the pristine foothills, Hacienda Del Sol office complex also in the pristine foothills and many office buildings such as Misys, KB Home and ABR Radiology at the Tucson premiere Williams Center. Many of these projects were design build projects, where United Builders was responsible for the design, architecture, permitting process, and ultimate construction of the project.
Retail / Entertainment
United Builders experience in the retail/entertainment sector includes national restaurants completed for McDonald’s with 25 stores completed, The Flemings Restaurant, Peter Pipe Restaurant, Arby’s and Jack in the Box, just to name a few. In addition to the retail and entertainment sector, Mr. Barker participated in the complete renovation and upgrades to the Foothills Mall Retail Outlet Center in Tucson, Arizona for such stores as Nike, Mikasa and Ross.
